I have several old calendars stored away because the artwork is so beautiful that I'd like to find a way to recycle them. However, I just learned that it is possible to reuse them as calendars depending on the year. (Of course, some of the events may not match-upl) This handy website set you straight on what calendars from the past you can re-use this year, and when you can re-use this year's calendar in the future. (I just dug out one from 2017 and it's going to work for 2023. It's a standing calendar shaped like a vase with the months printed on flowers that you flip up. I'm so pleased that I can use it again!)

I enjoyed this article the Atlantic. Something to think about...
Last week, a good friend sent me a link to an article in The New York Times Style Magazine entitled "How Japonisme Forever Changed the Course of Western Design". It was fascinating! Although I was familiar with various threads in this article, this was the first time I’ve seen them all woven together. It's a long read but one that is well while. Enjoy! (Thanks, BF!)
A friend just introduced me to the American folk pop duo Lily and Madeleine. They are sisters and they write and perform their own music. Oh, they have such lovely voices!
I'm a huge Sharon McMahon fan and I was so pleased to see this article about her in The Atlantic. Sharon is a former high school government and law teacher, and she uses her viral instagram account, @sharonsaysso, to educate the public about all things American government and democracy in a non-partisan way. She has certainly helped me better understand some of the current events happening in the USA. (In addition to being extremely knowledgable, she's also a hoot. The article describes her as having powerful golden-retriever energy.)

I'm stepping back from social media so this is where I share links that I think others might enjoy. They will rarely be related to photography though! Archives
